Why Study in China

In the last several years alone, the number of international students coming to China has more than doubled. Students from all around the world are attracted by China's growing economy and improving higher educational system.

China's schools are growing at a rapid pace. The government is giving large amounts of funding to higher education in an effort to make China into a scientific and academic world leader. Public schools have competitive engineering, business, management and medicine programs. Chinese language programs in China are, of course, second-to-none.

Studying in China has never been easier for international students. China's University & College Admission System offers you a pathway to an exciting and meaningful learning experience in China.

Full-time universities' academic year in China normally contains two semesters, Spring semester and Autumn semester, except for a few ones implementing 3-semester system. The first semester starts on autumn of each year, requiring fully submission of materials between late February and late July of that year; and the second starts on spring, receiving materials between late October and late January starting from the previous year to the current year. But the dates are generally set, hence, it is important to figure out every university's specific application deadline for each semester, and when it comes to those universities of 3-semester system, it becomes more significant.

Application Deadline

WIt is important to check the deadline for your chosen course(s). Applications received by the deadline issued are guaranteed to be considered by the universities and colleges.

Applications received at CUCAS (China's University & College Admission System) after the deadline will only be considered by the universities and colleges if they still have vacancies for the course(s) you have selected.

Applications for accommodation should be made to the universities before coming to China. There are many kinds of dormitories in universities, and the prices differ from each other due to the furniture and facilities. International students should apply before arriving in China. If you want to come with your families, you should consult the university in advance. Otherwise, you should take care of the accommodation by yourself.

Students can live off-campus with the permission of the university, but should register at the local public security office within 24 hours upon arrival.

Can I take a part-time job while studying at college?

Tuition fee is generally paid on year basis. According to relevant Chinese laws, international students studying in China are forbidden to be employed, and work-study opportunity is relatively small.
